The lock is a standard inexpensive barrel lock, just like the ones used on all other budget cages. This model uses a square shaft to connect the different parts, which keeps everything properly aligned, and there are no extra pins that can pinch your skin while you’re putting it on. My key holder is really disappointed that this cage doesn’t come in more color options, but we’re both really happy with how comfortable and breathable it is for long-term wear.

The material is soft, so much so that you barely notice you’re wearing it. It would be great if they offered more color options. If they expand their color range, I’ll definitely purchase another one from this brand. I’m also a big fan of the black shade it comes in.
